Famous rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs made national headlines after his arrest over charges of sex trafficking. Combs faced multiple lawsuits since the previous year, one filed by his former girlfriend, Casandra Ventura who sued him for repeatedly assaulting her, both physically and sexually. The massive media attention on the matter has led people to wonder about Sean Combs’ wife’s reaction to the matter. Read further to find out about the rapper’s relationship status.

Although Combs never officially married, he was involved in a couple of serious relationships with famous individuals; many of whom are also coming forward with allegations of abuse. Amongst all his previous relationships, Sean maintained a friendly bond with the mother of his children, Kim Porter up until her death in 2018.

After dating for a couple of years and welcoming their son together, the couple broke up in the late 90s. Porter did feel deceived after finding out Combs was expecting a kid with another woman whilst she herself was pregnant, she is reported to have moved past it.

The duo shared a close bond until Porter died in 2018 from pneumonia.

Sean Combs’ History With Ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura

Combs’ controversial relationship with Ventura began with allegations of grooming with Ventura being just 19 years old when she met Combs who was 37 at the time. In an official complaint lodged by Ventura, she accused Combs of physically assaulting her over a couple of years. Furthermore, she accused Combs of raping her in 2018.

Sean’s wrongdoings initially came to light with a shocking video in which he could be seen repeatedly hitting, dragging, and kicking her. The hotel surveillance footage, originally posted by CNN, created havoc online with many severely criticizing the actions of the rapper.

Ventura filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend in November revealing horrific details of the altercations involving Sean’s alleged abuse. According to the lawsuit, the abuse was carried out over the course of their on-off relationship from 2007-18.

Combs strongly denied all allegations made against him in an Instagram post. However, two days after the video showing Combs’ horrendous physical abuse was released, he released a video apologizing for his actions. In the video, he accepts that his behavior was unjustifiable.

Sean further said, “I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.” He also claimed that he sought professional help for his anger issues. His apology was perceived by the public as “aimless” and “vacant” as they believed him to only express regret in an attempt to save himself.

Ventura’s lawyers publicly credited her for coming forward to get herself justice despite Sean’s influential status. They also stated that the gut-wrenching video depicting Sean’s abuse towards Ventura “confirms his predatory behavior.”

Sean Combs’ Arrest

On Monday, September 16, Combs was arrested at his hotel. The arrest, according to prosecutors, is part of an investigation into allegations of sex trafficking. The US Attorney, Damian Williams confirmed Combs’ arrest saying, “Federal agents arrested Sean Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed.” He also mentioned that his office is working to unseal the indictment after which more information would be revealed to the public.

Sean currently faces charges of rape, sex trafficking, physical assault, grooming, and more. His dark past involving physical and sexual assault has landed him in serious trouble.
