Singer Tito Jackson, an original Jackson 5 member and Michael Jackson’s brother, has unfortunately passed away at 70. His death was publicly announced by a family friend of the Jackson family, Steve Manning. Tito’s sons then verified the news on Instagram leading to thousands of people pouring in their condolences online.

Tito Jackson’s Cause Of Death

Tito’s 3 sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, who are in a trio band called “3T” announced the unfortunate news on Instagram expressing their sorrow at their father’s death. They also admired their father for his kind and thoughtful nature. However, the post declined to mention the cause of Tito’s death keeping the reason behind his demise a mystery.

According to People News, Tito suffered from a lethal heart attack that eventually turned out to be fatal. The Jackson family did not release much information about Tito’s health leading to his death. Jackson passed away on September 15, 2024.

Jackson Performed Just Days Before His Death

Only a couple of days prior to Tito’s death, he gave a spectacular performance to an audience in Munich, Germany. He has been performing frequently along with his brothers, Jackie and Marlon Jackson. During their recent visit to Munich, Tito visited his late brother, Michael Jackson’s memorial. Taking to Facebook, he then wrote a heartfelt post indicating that he was deeply touched and also thanked the people responsible for keeping his brother’s “spirit alive.”

Tito’s band was even booked for further appearances during October and November in NJ and other parts of the US.

Tito Jackson’s Legacy

Tito was a member of his family band, The Jackson 5. The band included his brothers as other members: the late Michael Jackson, Jermaine, Jackie, Marlon, Randy, and Tito Jackson. Jackson 5 has given multiple popular songs to the public dating back to the 70s. Songs like ‘I Want You Back’ and ‘I’ll Be There’ were a smashing success with many still listening to them regularly even today. Jackson 5’s contribution to the music world was rewarded with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Apart from his spectacular performances with the band, Tito excelled in his solo career too. His albums titled ‘Tito Time’ and ‘Under Your Spell ’ were a huge hit with the audience.

In a recent interview, Tito explained that it was his tour with the BB King Blues that sparked his interest in the guitar. He then took a break to polish his skills telling his fans, “I wanted to play some music … to be on stage again.”

Tito’s chart-topping album titled ‘Love One Another’ released in 2021 was his last single before his demise. Tito released the song to uplift people’s spirits during the COVID-19 pandemic. He declared it a “balm for troubled times.” Throughout his journey, Tito intended to spread unity and peace through his art. The music video of Tito’s last single featured his 3 sons alongside popular stars like Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian.

Tito Jackson’s Death

Tito passed away on Sunday, September, 15. He leaves behind his brothers, Jackie, Marlon, Jermaine, and Randy Jackson as well as Tito’s 3 sons, Taj, TJ, and Taryll Jackson. Music lovers worldwide continue to offer their condolences at the passing of one of the greatest legends in the music industry.
