Popular actor, Mae Whitman just announced the birth of her kid via Instagram, naming the baby after her co-star, Miles Heizer. Both Whitman and Heizer starred in the widely famous show, Parenthood in which he played her younger brother. The show brought them closer and bonded them for life. In the post, Whitman failed to mention the name of her baby’s father. However, people’s curiosities on the subject have given rise to multiple speculations.

Whitman’s Career Highlights

Born on June 9, 1988, she made her debut in acting when she was still a child. In the early 1990s, Whitman acted in various movies such as ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’, ‘Independence Day’, and so many more. In 2004, she starred in the TV series, ‘Arrested Development’ which was her breakthrough and increased her popularity tenfold. Her most famous role to date was playing Amber Holt in the TV show ‘Parenthood’ which was produced by NBC. Whitman was widely acknowledged for her acting in the drama series and even received a nomination for the ‘Critics’ Choice TV Award’ for her role. Whitman was also nominated for the ‘Teen Choice Award’ for her role in the film ‘The Duff’.

In her childhood, she also did many voice-overs for various children’s movies and TV shows. On August 28, 2024, Whitman notified the world of the birth of her son who she named after her best friend, Miles Heizer. She captioned the post on Instagram saying that she and the baby’s mysterious father were incredibly grateful that they got to be his parents. She ended by expressing her love for the newborn.

Whitman chose to not reveal the identity of her baby’s father. On her Instagram posts, she repeatedly used the word “we” concerning her baby, indicating that she is in a relationship however, she refused to divulge information about her partner.

Although people initially began to speculate that her former co-star, Heizer could be the mysterious father, the rumors were quickly debunked after Whitman named him the baby’s uncle in her Instagram post.
