Stand-Up Comedian, Actor And Director, Rondell Sheridan,66, Credits His Family For His Successful Career

American comedian and actor, Rondell Sheridan credits his success to his family. He has kept details about his family life very private and shields them from the limelight. Sheridan is most recognized for his role in Disney’s sitcom ‘That’s So Raven’ and is widely appreciated for his acting skills playing the role of Victor Baxter.

Rondell’s Career Highlights

Born on August 15, 1958, Sheridan grew up in Chicago where he went to the Marquette University graduating in interpersonal communications. After completing his degree, he began to take an interest in acting for which he took classes at a Theatre School called ‘Circle in the Square’.

Sheridan had a natural way with comedy and used his talent to impress people at stand-up shows. His fame grew so much that he was soon invited to perform on various famous talk shows at the time including ‘The Tonight Show’ and the popular, ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien’. Exposure by performing at such widely watched shows paved the way for Sheridan for more opportunities in the future.

Sheridan took his first step in acting by playing minor roles in various TV shows. After uncovering his talent through small roles, Sheridan managed to get a lead role in the sitcom, ‘Minor Adjustments. However, he was soon disappointed as the show did not do well and was eventually canceled.

All his efforts led to him scoring the main role in the successful TV show ‘That’s So Raven’. The show was a massive success with the audience and his role was hugely acknowledged. The show had such a favorable outcome that it led to the production of its spin-off series, ‘Cory in the House’ in which Rondell continued to play the part of Victor. Noticing the continuous success of the show, another season of ‘That’s So Raven’ was made in which Sheridan, along with acting in the show, also directed a few episodes.   

Along with TV shows, Rondell also tried his hand at films acting in successes like ‘Rites of Passage’, ‘Hollywood Halloween’ and ‘Super Impossible Squad’. Sheridan’s popular and loved comedy show ‘Clap Your Hands’ gets people rolling on the floor.

Sheridan’s Uncanny Resemblance To A Killer On The Run

Rondell once revealed that he was scared to go out in public while the infamous fugitive, Christopher Dorner was on the loose. He stated that he was told by multiple people about the resemblance to Dorner who was on the run from the police and even received unusual stares from people when the search for the fugitive was going on. however, Dorner was caught but died in a battle with the police. Sheridan further explained that the striking resemblance led to his picture being used instead of Dorner’s in posts about the criminal’s death.

Rondell Sheridan’s Family

Although there is little to no information about Sheridan’s siblings, he has repeatedly given them credit for supporting him in his stand-up career. He stated that it was their help that led to him being encouraged to give stand-up comedy a shot. Rondell strictly believes in keeping personal and professional lives separate hence he does not divulge much information about his family. In fact, he has not even disclosed his parent’s names.
