P-Square Was Disbanded In 2017
Much to the fan’s disappointment, the group announced their disbandment. Peter then dropped a few solo songs that although they were successful, fans still missed the duo’s collaboration. In 2017, he released songs like ‘For My Head’ and ‘Cool It Down’ which many people speculated were indirectly targeted at his brother. The next year, Peter released ‘Wokie Wokie’ and the band, Brick & Lace. This song broke records in terms of the fame it received.
A few years later, Peter formed his own record label and named it the PClassic Label which got the infamous DJ Switch on board.

Peter and Paul Okoye’s Public Feud
Peter took to Instagram to call out his brother for not giving him enough credit for his equal contributions towards their common music band, P-Square. This came after Paul, in an interview, claimed that he wrote and sang the majority of their songs. Peter felt let down and disheartened by his comments.
In an open letter to his brother on Instagram, Peter wrote that he is not competing against Paul. However, he was extremely upset over the fact that Paul continued to discredit him in interviews by not acknowledging his efforts for the group. He gave a response saying that he did not recognize his songs and even gave examples like ‘Get-Squared’, ‘Say Your Love’, ‘More than a Friend’, and ‘Roll It’.

He further stated that Peter, on the other hand always used the word ‘we’ instead of ‘I’ as he considers them a team. He also expressed his disappointment by saying that they should have broken up the group in a graceful manner while Paul turned it into a ‘laughingstock’.
Peter went on to say that Paul not only disrespected him but also his wife, family, and his talent. Peter explained that all this drama would not make the fans hate just him but also both of them.
Peter ended the open letter with his best wishes towards his brother.
