Indian Actor, Mohsin Khan is most widely known for his role in the infamous Indian drama serial, ‘Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Included in the list of 50 Sexiest Men in Asia by the Eastern Eye, Mohsin Khan is loved by his fans. Times also included him in their list of the Most Desirable Men twice. With more than 4 million followers on Instagram, Khan has also made his mark on social media.

Mohsin Is Loved For His Acting As Kartik In ‘Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’

Mohsin was born with the name Waseem Khan but for reasons unknown, his family later decided to change his name to Mohsin. Born on October 26, 1991, to parents Abdul Waheed Khan and Mehzabin Khan, he grew up in Gujrat, India. After completing his schooling in his hometown, Mohsin attended Thakur Polytechnic University in Mumbai and did a course in Electronics and Telecom Engineering. He then went on to do his Bachelor in Management from Mithibai College.

Mohsin Khan stepped into the Bollywood industry as an Assistant Director working on the movie called ‘Koyelaanchal’. After learning about the environment and the basics of filmmaking, Khan then made his debut in the Television drama ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’. This began his journey with the Indian drama channel Star Plus’.

After the success of his first drama, Khan scored a major role in another drama produced by the same channel called ‘Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. This was the breakthrough Mohsin desperately needed.

The drama was a smashing success with the Indian audience and his character was deeply loved. The audience became infatuated with his couple with his on-screen love interest, Naira. However, the drama fans were shocked and disappointed when Naira and Kartik divorced and pleaded with the producers of the drama to bring them back together.

Mohsin Is Widely Appreciated for His Acting Skills

Khan’s acting performances have received a wide variety of awards giving him validation of his exemplary acting. In 2017, he won the ‘Best Debut Male’ in the Gold Awards. The same year, he also won ‘Male Actor of the Year’ in a viewer’s choice award show. In 2018, he was awarded ‘Best Onscreen Jodi’ along with his co-star playing his romantic interest in the show, Shivangi Joshi. He also won ‘Best Actor’ again.

The following year, Khan received another ‘Best Actor’ award at the Indian Television Awards. Khan proceeded to get the ‘Most Stylish Actor’ by the PinkVilla Style Awards. All of the awards he received were for his drama ‘ Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. This proves that the drama which ran for around 15 years helped him massively in his career and was life-changing for him.

Khan Rejected To Be A Part Of The Show, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’

The actor revealed that his selection was confirmed for the show however he declined the offer. He stated that he even went to meet the producers of the show but unfortunately, had to decline. The show famous for getting the contestants to do dangerous acts scared Khan who revealed that he had nightmares of getting stuck in the lift and falling down.

Mohsin Khan Is A Huge Shah Rukh Khan Fan

Mohsin is not immune to Shah Rukh’s charm and revealed in an interview about how he was incredibly impressed with the superstar’s work ethics. When Shah Rukh made a cameo appearance in Mohsin’s drama to promote his film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, Mohsin saw firsthand how prepared Shah Rukh usually goes to the sets.

Mohsin Khan Suffered A Heart Attack Due to His Fatty Liver

In an interview, Khan divulged details about his health problems and revealed that he had a minor heart attack because of his fatty liver. According to Hindustan Times, This was the reason he went on a two-year hiatus from acting. He further said that although his condition became very serious, he did not inform too many people about this. He got treatment from a bunch of different hospitals and is now getting better.z

Khan further clarified that his fatty liver disease is not because of drinking alcohol and the exact cause for the disease is unknown. However, it usually occurs because of irregular sleeping patterns and bad diet intake. He ended by saying that the entire dilemma with his health has made his immune system very weak which leads him to fall sick very often.

Khan stated that the reason for disclosing details about his heart attack is to spread awareness about the disease and how fairly common it is.
