Fox News Anchor, Dagen McDowell’s Illness Concerns Her Fans
Fox News Anchor, Dagen McDowell currently works as a co-host of Fox Business Network titled “The Bottom Line”. McDowell is appreciated for her anchoring skills and is most widely known for effectively communicating her words to the audience. Recently, speculations about McDowell’s illness have been rampant with many concerned for the anchor.
Dagen McDowell’s Illness
Although McDowell does not publicly speak about her health issues, it has been reported that she suffers from an autoimmune disease. Even with her immune system compromised, McDowell does not compromise her work ethic and continues to do her best in front of the TV. She has not revealed details about her disease.

The previous year, McDowell sparked illness rumors after her fans observed drastic weight loss in her appearance. However, it was later revealed that she was just health conscious and was attempting to maintain her weight.
McDowell once revealed her mother’s illness who suffered from cancer and ultimately lost her battle. She explained that her mother had metastatic lung cancer that later progressed to her backbone and pelvis. This is said to be the reason for McDowell being conscious about her health as cancer is widely known to be genetic.

McDowell’s Career Highlights
Despite her struggles with her illness, McDowell continues to inspire thousands who dream of becoming an anchor. She stepped into journalism by writing for the Institutional Investor Magazine. Moreover, she wrote a finance column titled “Dear Dagen” for The Street.

McDowell then started working at FOX News in 2003. In 2007, she helped start the FOX Business Network and was one of the first anchors for the channel. She specializes in the financial sector giving her viewers an accurate depiction of what’s happening in the number’s world. She even hosted a show called “Your Questions, Your Money” responding to the public’s queries regarding the economy.
For four years, McDowell hosted the “Imus in the Morning” show for Fox Business Network (FBN). Presently, she, along with Sean Duffy, hosts the channel’s program, “The Bottom Line”.
Dagen McDowell’s Personal Life
Appearing on the Fox News program, “Saturday Night with Jimmy Failla”, McDowell answered some personal questions about her life. She revealed that her childhood crush was Bert Ward from Batman. When asked about what she would have been doing if not a TV host, McDowell hilariously answered that she has kept bartending as a backup job in case she ever gets fired. Furthermore, she also disclosed her love for dogs and stated that she would have loved to work at a dog shelter.
