Former President, Bill Clinton is rumored to be terminally ill. The speculations came after his appearance at the Democratic National Convention on August 22nd. While delivering his address to the audience, people quickly noticed his shaking hands and stuttering voice. People grew more concerned when Bill himself revealed that he might not be able to attend further functions like this

 

Bill Clinton’s Tenure As President

Bill’s real name is William Clinton. Born on August 19, 1946, Bill served the people of the United States as the 42nd President for around 8 years from 1993 to 2001. Clinton belongs to the state, of Arkansas where he spent most of his early life. He then went to Georgetown for University, graduating in 1968. Clinton is a lawyer who got his law degree from Yale. It was there that he met and fell in love with his now-wife, Hillary Rodham. After his degree, Clinton went back to his hometown where he contested elections winning to become the State Attorney General.

 

He then became the Governor of Arkansas serving from 1979-81. After being widely praised for his work as governor, Clinton gained enough confidence to run for the Presidency of the United States. In 1992, he won after defeating his opponent from the Republican Party, George W. Bush. He remained President for the longest time in US history.

Clinton’s efforts during his tenure as President are still remembered to this day. He was a strong supporter of the State Children’s Health Insurance. He signed the Violent Crime Control Law Enforcement Act which helped decline the country’s crime ratio.

Clinton made sure Ruth Bader Ginsburg was given equal opportunity as the first woman to enter the Supreme Court. His decisions concerning foreign affairs are studied by many to date. Clinton advocated to enlarge NATO towards Europe. He also openly supported the ousting of Iraq’s President, Saddam Hussain claiming his ideas as spreading terrorist agendas. He gave aid to the set of people that stood firmly against Saddam and is also accused of helping them to remove him as President.

After being re-elected as President in 1996, Clinton’s biggest scandal was all over the headlines. Prior to the beginning of his second term, Clinton had a secret affair with an intern working in his office, Monica Lewinsky. Their sexual relationship went on for quite a long time until it became national news. Clinton and his team working in the background tried their best to suppress the attention the scandal got but were hugely unsuccessful. The scandal was posted on the front page of newspapers for more than a year.

 

Although the affair caused a lot of limelight to shift towards his personal life, Clinton’s efforts for his country are still commendable. His organization ‘The Clinton Foundation’ actively works to spread awareness about important social issues. It effectively works towards various causes such as preventing AIDS.

After personally witnessing the devastating aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti, Clinton collaborated with his earlier opponent, George W Bush to form the ‘Clinton Bush Haiti Fund’ which provided a massive relief to the citizens of the country.

Bill Clinton Was A Huge Support To His Wife, Hillary Clinton During Her Presidential Campaigns

Bill advised his wife in her decisions during the campaign however, he refused to be in the spotlight stating that this was her moment. During rallies advocating for Hillary’s election, Bill was always present supporting his wife. He even introduced and said a few words of praise for her before giving her the stage to shine. Hillary also outlined Bill’s role if she had been elected stating that he wants to help improve coal country. Hillary also joked about the entire thing saying that if elected her husband who is also the former president would become the ‘first dude’.

 

Bill Clinton is Facing Multiple Health Issues

Bill Clinton, aged 78, is rumored to be extremely sick. During his appearance at the Democratic National Convention where he was delivering a speech, Clinton appeared fragile with his hands shaking and voice raspy. After hearing him for years screaming during his passionate speeches, observers found it weird to hear him with a weakened voice.

This is not the first time news about his health has spread. In 2021, CNN reported that the former president was hospitalized after he contracted a Urinary Tract Infection. At the time, his doctors clarified that the condition was not too serious and UTIs were pretty common during old age. Clinton’s supporters continue to pray for his health.
