Chairman Morgan Stanley Int., Jonathan Bloomer And Wife Among The Six Missing After Their Yacht Sank In Sicily

Morgan Stanley International Chair, Jonathan Bloomer and his wife are officially announced to be missing after a tornado sank their yacht in Sicily. One person, who is rumored to be Thomas Recaldo, the yacht’s chef, has been pronounced dead, while 6 others are currently missing. 11 of the people on board managed to get to safety including Charlotte Golunski and her 1-year-old daughter. The Italian coast guard has been deployed and is constantly searching for those missing.

Jonathan Bloomer’s Wikipedia Information

Bloomer was born on March 23, 1954. He was born and raised in the UK. After graduating from Imperial College with a degree in Physics, Jonathan stepped into the business life. His efforts and hard work led him to climb the ladder to become the Senior Partner at an insurance firm. After working there for a few years, Bloomer went on to serve as the Finance Director at the Prudential Public Limited Company. He was then promoted to be the Chief Executive.

However, after an attempted acquisition of the company by the American General Company, their profit margins were lessened by over 50 percent. Despite the staggering difference, Jonathan was confident in his abilities and proved himself by increasing the company’s health.

After a decade of serving the Prudential Public Company, Jonathan then became a partner at the Cerberus European Company. In 2006, he was appointed as the CEO at Lucida plc and served for almost 6 years until his appointment as Chairman at the Arrow Global Group Plc. After his designation as Chairman in 2016, Bloomer overheads the international department of the bank, Morgan Stanley.

Bloomer And His Wife Are Missing After Their Yacht Sank Off The Coast OF Sicily

On Monday, August 19th, a tornado along with heavy rain capsized the yacht, called ‘Bayesian’ carrying Jonathan Bloomer and many others. the incident happened on the coast of Sicily. A boat passing by rescued as many people as it could with people clinging on for their dear life. The captain recounted the incident describing how he was shocked to see the ship just behind him gone in the blink of an eye.

A mother, Charlotte gave an account of how she saved herself and her 1-year-old baby from the gushing winds and the rough waves of the sea. She explained that she hugged her kid very tightly and also remembered the constant screaming from the survivors. Both the mother are baby are reported to be in stable condition.

It is reported by CNN that the wreck from the yacht is proving to be a hindrance in the search operation carried out by the divers. The UK has also deployed a team to help conduct the rescue operation.

Tech Tycoon, Mike Lynch And Daughter, Hannah Is Also Amongst The 6 Still Missing

Lynch, who was recently all over the news for his involvement in a fraud case, was also on the yacht, Bayesian when it capsized. Even more suspicious is the fact that his co-defendant in the trial recently passed away in an alleged car accident. Some people speculate that the sinking could be intentional while others remark this as purely coincidental.

Lynch was nicknamed as the ‘British Bill Gates ’ for his success in the software company he founded. While Lynch continues to be missing, his wife, Angela Bacareswas rescued. Bacares recounted the incident saying that she was woken up when their yacht was in a slanted position. Initially, she and her husband were not worried however, were quickly terrified as chaos ensued. She had minor injuries but is otherwise in a stable condition and hopes for her husband and daughter’s safe return.

Other People Involved In The Catastrophe

Among the others still missing is the prominent lawyer, Chris Morvillo who represented Lynch in his trial when accused of fraud. His wife, NedaMorvillo is also not found.
