Austin’s Israeli Roots Are Heavily Criticized

Born on May 24, 2001, Austin grew up in New York. Although she was born and raised in the US, her parents are Israeli. Austin is a strong supporter of Israel amid the war with Palestine which has garnered heavy disapproval from the public. Her parents made her keep in touch with her roots, making her visit Israel several times. Austin participated in tons of Jewish traditions such as being strict about Kosher, Jewish dietary laws. Austin’s Journalism Career

While studying journalism at Hofstra University in 2021, Austin contacted various athletes to get the opportunity to interview them. This made her land a job hosting NFL and boxing affairs at MTV. After making herself known in the sports world, Emily introduced her podcast in 2023 naming it ‘The Hoop Chat With Emily Austin’. She hosted various famous players in her podcast for instance basketball players like Grant Williams, Mitchell Robinson, and, Josh Giddey.

Austin’s Work With DAZN Covering Boxing Matches

DAZN announced Emily Austin as their social presenter for various matches. In an interview, Austin stated that the boxing world is very loud, therefore to survive there one needs to be “assertive” and she believes that she fits the quality. In the past, she presented many boxing matches such as between Bryce Hall and Austin McBroom. Austin also famously presented the DAZN Haney vs Carcia fight.

Emily Austin also covered the popular fight between Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov. Her main role concerning the fight was to give updates via social media.
