In heartbreaking news, Actress Kathryn Crosby, wife of late actor and singer Bing Crosby, has passed away at the age of 90. She lived her last moments at her home in Hillsborough, California, surrounded by her loved ones. Her death has sparked rumors of Kathryn Crosby’s car accident being the reason for her demise. However, as per various sources, the news has no basis of truth.

Corby’s unfortunate death on September 20th, 2024 gave birth to various rumors about the cause behind her demise. According to Entertainment Weekly, Kathryn Crosby died of natural causes. The news of her death was announced by a Crosby family representative, B. Harlan Boll who chose not to go into depth regarding the reason for her death.

The rumors of Kathryn Crosby’s car accident arose from people confusing her death with her husband’s. Her second husband, Maurice Sullivan passed away in a car accident in 2010 that also caused serious injuries to Crosby herself.

Kathryn Crosby’s Legacy

Born on November 25, 1933, Crosby grew up in Texas, US. She made her debut in acting in 1953 at a very young age. Among Crosby’s earliest films are “The 7th Voyage of Sibad” and the popular TV show, “Anatomy of a Murder”. Crosby’s most prominent role was in “Goldilocks” in which she played the role of Mama Bear. ‘Goldilocks’ provided her with the breakthrough in her career, paving the way for future acting opportunities. After acting in a few more dramas, Crosby announced her retirement from acting.

Crosby attended nursing school in LA graduating in 1963. She then began passionately working as a nurse. The following year, she made a guest appearance on her husband’s comedy show, “The Bing Crosby Show”. A few years later, Kathryn began hosting her own show titled “The Kathryn Crosby Show”. Her husband made several appearances on her talk show.

Kathryn’s husband, Bing Crosby passed away from a heart attack in 1977 while golfing in Spain. After his demise, Crosby began to play small roles in various shows. She played cameo roles in the Broadway musical, “State Fair”.

Kathryn Crosby leaves behind her three children, Mary, Harry, and Nathaniel Crosby, and several grandchildren.
