One of the most popular and well-liked musicians ever, David Bowie is still remembered to this day; years after his death. Recognized as an acclaimed musician, Bowie left a long-lasting mark in the music industry. David Bowie Redefined The Music Industry
Bowie’s love for music began very early on in his childhood. In the early 1960s, Bowie had a struggling phase where he wrote and sang tons of songs to no success. Instead of being disappointed, he upped his efforts until his song, ‘Space Oddity’ gave him the ultimate breakthrough. The song was a massive success and led to BBC repeatedly using it while covering the news of moon landing. This paved the way for Bowie to provide him with more opportunities within the music industry.
In 1972, he released another album titled ‘Ziggy Stardust’ which like his previous ones was a smashing success. His fame and popularity made him lose his head for a while with him turning to drugs and becoming somewhat addicted to cocaine.

A few years later, Bowie made his acting debut in the film, ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’ in which he played the part of an alien. His drug addiction seemed to get more problematic with many people describing his behavior as erratic. Ultimately, in the late 1970s, Bowie finally got rid of his drug problem and released his most appreciated album to date titled ‘Scary Monsters’.
His career only went uphill from there on. His tour called Serious Moonlight was a smashing success. Bowie’s album, ‘Let’s Dance’topped the US charts and became a fan-favorite at the time.
In lieu of his marriage to Bowie’s second wife, Iman, he released ‘Black Tie White Noise’ which is now recognized as a wedding song. In 2004, Bowie had a heart attack which made his fans panic and worried about his health. However, he quickly recovered and followed through with releasing more successful songs.
