The Legendary Politician, Pravin Gordhan Died From Cancer at the age of 75

Besides his massive achievements and success, he was suffering from cancer for a few years. Managing his political duties and illness, Gordhan was a passionate personality that the world will always remember. However, the man was treated in the hospital on 2024, September 10 as announced by his family.

The famous secretary, Fikile Mbalula spoke at the press conference about Gordhan’s critical condition and treatment. Fighting the battle of cancer, in Johannesburg, the man died at the age of 75 at Wits Donald Medical Centre, However, the funeral will held on Thursday in Durban.

Pravin Gordhan’s Daughter Expects More Time with Her Best Friend

The daughter of the most consequential figure of South Africa Pravin Gordhan, Priyesha Gordhan speaks in the interviews on Newzroom Afrika, soon after a few hours of Pravin Gordhan’s death. The lady said that it was one of his priorities to spend time with his family and it feels like the family is robbed. Beside being a political personality, the man was a great father and husband. Her father was her best friend who always motivated her to reach the height of success.

She said that she lost her best friend and her mother lost his soulmate. She stated that without the anchor of their family, the upcoming years will be troubling to navigate.

However, Pravin Gordhan’s daughter said that her father started facing this illness in the year 2016 and this was due to the political pressure, unproven allegation and attacks that her never accepts and told. 

Her speech and the tributes that she paid to her late father showed the bond and relationship that the duo shared.

Speaking words for her late father, Pravin Gordhan’s daughter Priyesha has also shared some of the unique moments that the family had, speaking to the media that her father was a gentleman.
