Is Popular South African Entertainer, Skomota Dead?
Thanbang Sefala, widely known as Skomota is recognized as the “luckiest man in South Africa” after winning the jackpot of 3 million dollars on Betway. The win gave him an immense fame boost and made him a popular entertainer in South Africa. Skomota works as a DJ and a dancer and is heavily sought after for bookings. With his rise in popularity, Skomota also has to tolerate the cons associated with the fame; one of them being the rumors surrounding his death.
Is Skomota Dead?
Earlier, rumors began circulating online claiming that one of the most in-demand entertainers, Skomota had passed away. However, after a deep investigation into the rumors, no credibility could be found in the news. The speculations surrounding his death were quickly debunked.

Social media users allege that the claims of Skomota’s death could be payback by rapper, Shebeshxt’s fans. This comes after Skomota’s manager and dear friend, Skhothane falsely claimed that the well-known rapper, Shebeshxt had died in a car accident. It was later revealed that although he was involved in an accident and sustained injuries, the rapper fully recovered.

In spite of Skhothane later apologizing for spreading the fake news explaining that he “misunderstood”, online users believe that the rumors of Skomata’s death are a consequence of the previous fiasco.
Skomota Won R3 Million
Skomota’s jackpot of R3 million from the online app, Betway served as a breakthrough for future career opportunities. His world changed overnight with him receiving fame alongside fortune. It is also reported that Skomota met the love of his life during the process of obtaining his reward. According to New Zimbabwe news, Skomota started dating a woman who assisted him in cashing out his jackpot money. It is unclear if the two are still together.
Skomota Is A Contestent On Realtiy TV Show
South African channel, Moja Love asked Skomota to be a part of their new reality TV show. New Zimbabwe news further reports that Skomota, along with the popular rapper, Skhothane, will give insights into their personal life to the viewers. The reality show will reportedly also star Skomota’s pregnant girlfriend and Skhothane’s partners.

The public had mixed reactions to the news. While some were ecstatic to get an insight into the personal lives of some of their favorite stars, others complained about featuring social media stars. Some even went as far as to accuse Moja Love of “creating drama out of Skomota’s career.”
Skomota was exploited by his manager
Via a YouTube video, Skomota revealed that he canceled all his bookings amidst the falling-out with his manager, Moruti Wa Dikota. He uncovered a piece of shocking news stating that his manager gave him a very small chunk of the money he actually earned. Despite him earning more than R 30,000 per booking, Skomota’s manager only gave him close to R 1000. He also disclosed his dire financial status regardless of his fame, blaming his manager.

His liveliness and enthusiasm make him sought after by his fans. With his never-ending appointments, Skomota usually impresses his audience with around 20 gigs a week.
