Gun Rights Activist And Famous YouTuber, Paul Harrell Announces His Own Death On YouTube: Learn More About His Obituary

After a long and tiring battle with cancer, Paul Harrell, aged 58, unfortunately lived his last breath on September 3, 2024. In a video that left people in a state of shock, Paul announced his own death on YouTube. In the pre-recorded clip, he gave details of his diagnosis and explained that he may not be alive for very long. His audience blessed him with prayers and reminisced about his helpful nature.  

Harrell’s Fight With Cancer

In July 2023, Paul Harrell announced his cancer diagnosis to his audience on YouTube. However, in true Harrell fashion, he announced that his medical condition would not be a setback for his work. Therefore, he continued to teach people everything he knew regarding guns and preached about gun laws. In January 2024, Harrell made the public announcement of handing over his YouTube channel to his brother, Roy. He explained that his health was declining faster than he predicted.

Harrell Announced His Own Death On YouTube

On September 4, Harrell’s self-titled channel posted a video named “I’m Dead”. In the clip that he pre-recorded in December 2023, Harrell begins by saying that he had given instructions to post this video after his death. He explained that he was on limited time after his cancer spread to other parts of his body which also fractured his hip, making him take a fall.

Harrell asked his audience for a few favors. He appealed to them to continue their support of the channel even after his death informing them that his brother will continue to make content on his behalf.  He then continued to discuss the matter of other YouTubers copying his content. Harrell asked his audience not to give views to the creators pirating his material and to learn stuff from his own channel.

He repeatedly thanked his supporters for their assistance in his career. He appreciated them for making his channel worthy enough to help others. Harrell continued to say that he hoped that people learned something from watching his content and that he proved to be beneficial to them.

In a shocking statement, Harrell apologized to his viewers for “letting them down”. He stated that while he had hoped to make useful content for 10 to 15 more years, his time was unfortunately limited. He expressed his gratefulness at being given the opportunity to be able to help others.

At the end of the video, Harrell’s brother confirmed the news of his demise. He asked the public to give him and his family privacy to grieve at this difficult time.  Paul’s editor and manager, Brad Nelson also expressed his sorrow at the unfortunate news.

Paul Harrell’s Career

Harrell’s keen interest in guns led him to attend training sessions for shooting at the Ray Chapman Academy as well as the Navy’s CRF School. He also served as an instructor at the Marine Corps Security Force School. Harrell’s deep knowledge of guns and passion for helping others led him to make his YouTube channel.

Harrell rose to fame with his video titled ‘How to Conceal Your Weapon So Police Can’t Find It’. With its intriguing captions, people quickly learned about him giving Harrell the status of his much-deserved stardom. At the time of his death, Paul’s YouTube channel had over 1 million followers with 445 videos posted. Harrell’s fame also increased rapidly after co-hosting the show, “The Gun Guys”. He was rumored to have an approximate net worth of 800K dollars.

Harrell’s Family Support

Paul’s wife, Mary Kimball, and two daughters, Alexandria and Jacqelyn currently mourn their beloved’s death. Harrell’s brother, Roy who was his support through thick and thin has vowed to respect his brother’s wishes to continue his legacy on YouTube.

While Harrell’s obituary has not been released yet, his family and friends continue to remember him, sharing their good experiences with Harrell via social media.
