LaMelo Ball’s Previous Controversies
This is not the first time Ball went viral for something other than his profession. CNN reported about an incident that occurred in May 2024 revealing that Ball was sued by a mother for allegedly hitting her son with his car. According to the lawsuit filed, Ball “looked directly” at Joseph (the kid he allegedly hit) when he was stopped at a traffic signal before he sped up “recklessly” which broke Joseph’s foot. LaMelo refused to comment on the matter.
LaMelo also made headlines after the NBA pressured him to remove his neck tattoo. His neck tattoo reads ‘LF’ standing for LaFrance that represents his clothing brand. Citing the branding rules in NBA, LaMelo unfortunately had to cover his neck tattoo.
Where is LaMelo Ball now?
Ball has been on an injury break since January 2024. This decision came after repeated ankle injuries that ultimately led to surgery. Although LaMelo has signed a five-year contract, he has only been able to play in around 60 matches as a result of his injury.
