Conspiracy theorist, Laura Loomer has gained massive fame after former president, Donald Trump refused to distance himself from her controversial remarks. Loomer is recognized for her public support of Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and even travels with him to attend multiple rallies. Laura’s 9/11 conspiracy theories, anti-Muslim remarks, and racist comments have led to people wondering about her religion.

Laura Loomer’s Religion

According to WPLG Local 10 news, Loomer is a Jewish millennial. She, however, attended Catholic University after being suspended from Barry University for secretly taping professors’ conversations and accusing them of supporting ISIS.

Loomer has publicly announced herself as a “proud Islamophobe” on Twitter and has spewed hate for the religion over the years. After claiming that a ride app should be made that did not hire Muslim drivers, Loomer was banned by Uber and Lyft for breaching their guidelines. She was also banned by Twitter which cited hateful behavior. Loomer called Muslim Democrat, Ilhan Omar a part of religion that “abused” women and forced them “to wear hijab”.

After being banned from X, formerly known as Twitter, Loomer handcuffed herself to the gate at Twitter’s headquarters. She wore the Jewish (Yellow) badge in protest.

Trump’s Support For Loomer

Although Laura’s far-right remarks have garnered massive criticism from the public, Trump refused to detach himself from her views. Speaking to reporters, he called her a “free spirit” and claimed that he “can’t tell her what to do”. He did acknowledge that Laura has got some strong opinions however, refused to distance himself from the remarks she made.

It is widely reported that Trump’s aides consider Laura a “liability” and perceive her views as damaging to Trump’s campaign.

Laura’s 9/11 Conspiracy Theory

Loomer earlier claimed that the September 11 attacks were an “inside job” that destroyed the World Trade Centers. However, after she was questioned as to why she accompanied Trump to attend the attack’s memorial service, Laura changed her stance on the matter. Speaking to CNN, she stated that she never denied the fact that terrorists carried out the attack. She further spoke about the heroes’ courage that day. After her statement, the public began to label her a hypocrite.

Laura Loomer’s Racist Remarks Against Kamala Harris

Laura made national headlines once again after making racist remarks against Kamala Harris, Trump’s opponent in the 2024 Presidential run. She posted distasteful comments against Harris in aid of Trump. Taking to Twitter, Loomer wrote that upon Kamala Harris’s win, the “White House would smell like curry”. She further made derogatory remarks saying that the Americans would only be able to relay their issues by being “able to convey through customer satisfaction calls that nobody will understand”. 

This discriminatory assault was not perceived well by the public with many calling out Trump for not condemning her statements.

In her podcast titled “Loomer Unleashed”, Laura also claimed that Kamala Harris is “not black” and is just using her ethnicity as a ploy to gain votes for her campaign.

During the Presidential Debate 2024, Trump made a baseless claim stating that illegal immigrants continuously eat domestic pets of the citizens residing in Ohio. Trump repeated his claims saying he heard about the news on TV. Afterward, it was noted that the same claim had been made by Laura Loomer the day before the debate. This led to people criticizing the former President for blindly believing unfounded and uncorroborated claims.
