The lady was raised by her father, Michael Conrad Braxton Sr. Who was a professional Methodist and a worker at a power company, as well as her mother, Evelyn Jackson who was a well-known cosmetologist and a native of South Carolina.

As a girl, she was brought up with her elder brother Michael, Jr., and four sisters Toni, Towanda, Traci, and Tamar in a strict environment.
